Triangle-Area Entrepreneur Launches Women Inspiring Women Conference
Featured Panelists From Volkswagen Inc., University of Miami Athletics, and TODAY© Parents, Digital Join Triangle-Area Leaders to Inspire through Panels on Thought-provoking Topics
RALEIGH, North Carolina – September 1, 2019 – “Boss-lady Breadwinners,” “Entrepreneurial All-Stars” and “The Generational Drama Divide” are three of the powerful panels that attendees of Angela Connor’s inaugural Women Inspiring Women Conference will experience on October 17, 2019.
Featured panelists from Volkswagen of America, TODAY Parents, Digital and the University of Miami Athletics will share the spotlight with leaders from some of the area’s renowned companies such as Red Hat, RTI International and Duke University for an afternoon of deep discussions, mentoring moments and candid conversations.
The conference, which is open to 75 attendees, is the brainchild of Angela Connor, Founder and CEO of Change Agent Communications, a 14-month-old strategic communications consultancy located in Raleigh, who will also serve as panel moderator and deliver the closing keynote.
Connor is an author and veteran journalist who is very active in the marketing community and serves on the Advisory Boards of Elon University’s School of Communications and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
“This is not your typical women’s leadership conference,” said Connor. “I selected women with whom I have close professional and personal relationships, and respect beyond measure, as panelists for the first Women Inspiring Women Conference so that attendees can benefit from our familiarity, which will make tackling some of the tough topics more natural and authentic.”
The featured panelists are: Lisa Brown, Region Market Manager and Sr. Diversity & Inclusion Consultant at Volkswagen of America; Shirelle Jackson, Senior Associate Athletic Director; Student-Athlete Development at the University of Miami and Kavita White, Senior Editor, TODAY Parents, Digital.
Other panelists and the full agenda can be found on the website at www.womeninspiringwomenconference.com.
With no live-streaming or video recording of panels allowed, attendees can expect a quaint atmosphere and openness from all panelists.
“I’m extremely grateful to have such dynamic women participating in the event,” added Connor. “We’re talking about being the breadwinner in relationships and the issues we face working with one another across generations. We’ll hear from pioneers in their industries, discuss the fallacies of work-life balance, and the importance of inspiring one another and finding ways to inspire ourselves.”
Sponsors of the conference include Bandwidth, Inc., SugarCRM and the Triangle Business Journal.
“My goal is to encourage and promote dialogue around some of the issues that are often left on the back-burner at conferences,” said Connor. “We are more than leaders in our organizations. We are multidimensional women dealing with real life and real issues that require real-talk.”
