Do you take advantage of all the tools and features provided to LinkedIn users? I’m specifically talking about your LinkedIn profile. I see so many profile headlines with the default title and place of employment, as opposed to something more descriptive that capitalizes on all 120 characters that can be utilized in that space.
A client recently asked me to help enhance her LinkedIn profile so I set up some time to interview her in order to gather information about what drives her to succeed, what she’s passionate about and to get inside of her head and understand the way she thinks so that I could translate that into something powerful for her summary section. Did you know the summary section on LinkedIn allows 2,000 characters?
That’s a lot of space to appeal to your target audience, sell yourself and your services and go into detail about what it might be like to work with you or what you believe, your principles, points of view or other relevant pieces that will resonate and perhaps make you stand out.
