Angela Connor is an industry change agent with deep roots in strategic communications that help brands connect with and engage audiences.
In July 2018, she launched Change Agent Communications, an agency focused entirely on helping organizations navigate the ever-evolving media environment we live in today. As Founder and CEO, Angela supports marketers as they embrace change and take bold moves in new directions.
At home in newsrooms and boardrooms, she’s a veteran journalist, experienced agency EVP, author and speaker.
Angela was an early navigator of the uncharted waters of social media, developing policies, strategies and award-winning campaigns for brands in the B2B and B2C space across a wide variety of industries. When there was no guidebook, she wrote one of her own: “18 Rules of Community Engagement: A Guide for Building Relationships and Connecting with Customers Online“. The book chronicles her path as Managing Editor of User-Generated Content at WRAL, where she launched the first online community and grew it from zero to 14,000 members.
Having led social and paid media, digital and analytics teams, Angela sees all angles of a challenge and practices fearless listening to find smart solutions. She’s a trusted advisor to senior marketing executives and the C-suite.
She was named one of the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Award winners in 2012 and often speaks at conferences and universities across the United States on topics ranging from social and digital media to finding and connecting with target audiences and the profound change affecting the communications industry.
Her news background includes television stations at NBC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Cleveland, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Raleigh, as well as six-years as Multimedia Editor at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale.
